The sun shone and snow was in great condition for the event, which saw teams navigating their way around the enormous Portes du Soleil ski area collecting 50 checkpoints and racking up the kms in a bid to be crowned AJ Bell Alpine Challenge Champions 2019!
AJ Bell Alpine Challenge mascot, Snowflake, was on hand to support and her cubs travelled around with the teams helping them to get bonus points at certain checkpoints.
After 2 days of great fun, good natured competition and an enormous amount of skiing, it was the team from Morzine Source Morgan Jupe who were crowned Champions at the Alpine Challenge awards night on Saturday, closely followed in second by The Crazy 88’s with commendable joint thirds for Summit Special and Skizee Riders.

Over £25,000 has already been raised for our programme Snow Camp with many teams committed to raising more over coming weeks. A special mention to our top 3 fundraising teams, The Jolly Boys in 3rd place, Skizee Riders in 2nd and our fundraising champions the wonderful Busy Bees on Skis.

The Alpine Challenge is such a positive event for Switch180, as it enables us to meet up with existing supporters as well as make new friends, share a little of what we do at Switch180 and find new supporters for the future.”
