We were delighted to join The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival 2018 as charity partner

Last weekend we were pleased to be the charity partner of The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival. It was fantastic few days full of fun and entertainment, read all about it below!

We kicked off the weekend on Thursday and it was a jam-packed day for team Switch180. We spent time catching up with our industry partners while building relationships with new organisations attending the Festival. It was great to see so many of our supporters under one roof and it was fantastic to talk to them about our work. Watch the video below to find out what they had to say!

The festival is also a wonderful opportunity for our young people to gain work experience. This year 15 young people volunteered on our partners’ stands. From selling raffle tickets, promoting the different brands and selling kit to helping on the outdoor slopes and looking after husky dogs. Our young people had an amazing few days in a new, positive, innovative environment where they were able to gain new skills. Huge thank you to The TelegraphChel-Ski, In The Snow, Butta, Planks, Ellie Soutter Foundation, We Are Horizontal, Finches Emporium, Decathlon, France MontagnesMorzine Massage and POW for supporting our young people on your stands!

Young People Work Experience

We had a brilliant time talking to Festival attendees about our work. Each day brought new people to our stand and we are so grateful to everyone who spun our Spin To Win wheel! Your generous £5 donations will make a big difference.

Our mascots made a huge impact across the weekend, Jenny the hare and James the tortoise were firm favourites with all the children (and some adults too!). Jenny and James have never been ones to shy away from a camera, they even had a dance off on Butta’s stand and had a ski lesson on Chel-Ski’s slope!

We absolutely love the new Festival vibe that The Telegraph team injected into the event this year. With live music, a big wheel, dog sledding and on snow action from professional athletes, the atmosphere was incredible all weekend. A huge thank you once again to The Telegraph team for all that you do to support Switch180. We can’t wait for the 2019 Festival, we hear on the grapevine that there may even be a carnival next year!
