We won big at the Not A Red Card Awards

On November 4th we were delighted to win the Innovative Use of Sport award at the Not A Red Card Awards.

Launched in 2017, the Not A Red Card campaign uses sport to raise awareness of, and encourage businesses to talk about mental health in the workplace. Since then, they have continued to campaign to get businesses to take action, to help their employees thrive.

Mental health is one of the leading causes of long term absences from work; to address this Legal and General in partnership with Beyond Sport developed the Not A Red Card campaign to help raise awareness, remove stigma and take real action around mental health in the workplace, through providing employers with the support they need to protect their most valuable asset, their people.

Red Cards in sport are normally associated with bad behaviour, but they’re using it to show that it’s not a bad thing to talk about mental health in the workplace.

We were delighted to win our award for our mental health work on our programme Snow Camp. Our application was judged by a diverse panel with a mixture of expertise from across a variety of sectors including mental health, business and sport. Fantastic to have British swimming legend Rebecca Adlington OBE select our programme Snow Camp as the winner!

The awards ceremony took place virtually and was presented by our friend and former sprint and hurdling athlete Colin Jackson CBE. Watch the video below to see the moment we were announced as winners! Our bit starts as 12.30.
